In the early 1970's, the village of Hockessin was primarily a farming community. Seeing the potential, Dan Lickle purchased an old hardware store that contained stone walled bins for grain and coal storage. In 1977, his wife Missy opened a small gift shop in two sections of the six bay coal bins. Today, the store spills out into the second floor loft- where railcars were once winched up to dumb the coal below.
Today, with over 15,000 sqaure feet, Everything But the Kitchen Sink lives up to its name. We have everything you need for your home and gift needs!
